New Cornwall Visitor Attraction raises money for charity

Final preparations are underway for the team here at Kidzworld, Cornwall's newest attraction, for our charity event taking place from 5-12 August.  Throughout the 7 days, hundreds of adventurers (young and old) shall aim to collectively transverse the DigiWall 5030 times, the same distance it would take to 'cliff climb' the Par to Polperro walk.

The challenge is all in aid of Children's Hospice South West (who are currently building a children's hospice outside St Austell) and every time the wall is crossed, Kidzworld will donate 10 p to charity.
In addition, everyone who completes the wall can request their Wall of Fortune certificate and have their names added to the Kidzworld website.

The Par to Polperro walk is one of Cornwall's most popular cliff walks and is a total of 22,530 metres (14 miles).

Kidzworld is Cornwall's newest visitor attraction with 54'000 sq ft of 'all weather' adventures for the whole family to participate in.  With all activities included in entry, families can explore smugglers cove, reach the summit of the tree-house, whoosh down fast slides or successfully climb the DigiWall.

Little Harbour is being built on the outskirts of St Austell and will provide a home from home closer to home for the children of Cornwall and Plymouth. It will enable the charity to provide more care and support to the families who need them.  Little Harbour is costing over £5 million to build.
Children's Hospice South West was founded in 1991 by Eddie and Jill Farwell after they experienced for themselves the urgent need for hospice care for children in the South West. Their two eldest children, Katie and Tom, had life-limiting illnesses and they had to travel over four hours, from their home in North Devon to Helen House in Oxford, then the country's only children's hospice. In 1995 Little Bridge House, the South West?s first children's hospice opened its doors to families from across the South West.

Kidzworld, Cornwall's Newest Attraction Officially Opens

Cornwall's residents and holiday makers now have a new place to visit in Cornwall.  Double the size and with exciting new attractions (some a first for Cornwall),  the bigger and better Kidzworld was officially opened on Thursday 21st July at 2.30pm by Lord Lee of Trafford and the Mayor of St Austell - Sandra Heyward, as well as host of the day 'Captain Jack Sparrow'.

To help officially open Cornwall's newest visitor attraction, 250 school children from local Pondhu Primary School also joined in the celebrations.

The Kidzworld name is about the only aspect that remains of the previous Kidzworld.   The newest place to visit in Cornwall now incorporates the outdoor covered area making the combined space over 54,000 sq feet and all activities are included in the gate entry fee.

The inside area has been totally redeveloped.  Alongside the play frame and fast slides, there?s Cornwall?s first multi-sensory presentation room, a fun "cannon blast" area and a new Toddler Village including a pretend kitchen, an interactive piano & wooden play houses.

Another first for the Cornwall attraction is the addition of the DigiWall, the world,s first interactive climbing wall.  Outside, the fun continues under giant white canopies. Smugglers cove brings the beach to Par with sand and water play and  a series of above ground wobbly walkways provide more family challenges!"
